Rising Brands takes over exclusive import of the Finnish brand Kyrö
Bremen, 22.02.2024 – We are delighted to expand our whisky & gin portfolio with the products of the Kyrö Distillery Company. The brand from Isokyrö has been producing spirits made from 100% rye since 2012 and manages to convey the Finnish way of life in a friendly and authentic way.
A group of friends went to the sauna, drank rye whisky and started thinking about why nobody in Finland actually makes rye whisky. To everyone’s surprise, the idea of starting their own distillery was still a good one the next morning. This is where the Kyrö story begins. Twelve years later, Kyrö is known beyond the country’s borders and stands for high-quality spirits that are always made from 100% Finnish wholemeal rye. In Germany, consumers can experience the quality of the gin range for themselves and also look forward to exciting news in the whisky sector: The launch of Kyrö’s whisky core range is due in spring – a milestone for all whisky lovers. About the Kyrö Distillery Company
The Finnish distillery was founded in 2012 in a sauna by five friends who dreamed of producing rye-based spirits in the quiet town of Isokyrö. It celebrated its tenth anniversary last year and is based in Isokyrö, Helsinki, Berlin and London. The founders are traveling around the globe to develop Kyrö into a global brand.
Rye is an integral part of Finnish culture and gets its strong and unique flavor from the harsh weather conditions in the north. Kyrö Distillery Company is an ode to Finnish rye.
