The story of The Demon’s Share begins in Panama, at the foot of the Barú volcano. In the heart of this land of fire, deep in the cave of a dormant volcano, the devils of The Demon’s Share are busy making a devilishly delicious rum. While the devils toil away, the angels collect the alcohol vapors produced during the aging process. But angels aren’t notorious drinkers, except maybe a little wine and ambrosia now and then, while the demons really know their stuff, at least in that regard. As you may know, this “Angel’s Share” is the volatile evaporation of spirits. What you may not know is that the liquid they leave behind is more valuable than ever. The nutrient-rich volcanic land is processed into sugar cane with traditional expertise and matured to perfection in its cellars. Some of the highest quality and most alluring demon waters in the world originate from here and it’s no surprise that The Demon’s Share calls Panama its birthplace.
