The Nuremberg-based company is thus adding one of Ireland’s most exciting whiskey producers to its portfolio, including the multi-award-winning brand The Whistler and the top-class Boann Single Pot Still Whiskeys

Boann Distillery – tradition and innovation from Drogheda

Boann Distillery, located in Drogheda not far from Dublin, is one of the most innovative distilleries on the Emerald Isle. Family owned and run, it focuses on the traditional Irish art of distilling with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and exceptional maturation. The distillery has a state-of-the-art pot still and column still facility and already produces its own whiskeys, which characterize the profile of the Boann Distillery.

The product range that Rising Brands will distribute in future is broadly diversified:

includes the Triple Oak, Irish Honey and Irish Cream varieties and appeals to beginners and connoisseurs alike.

such as Dark Symphony, Oloroso Cask and Imperial Stout Cask offer special highlights for connoisseurs.

include PX I Love You, the 10-year-old and the 16-year-old single malt as well as the smoky The Good, the Bad and the Smoky.

is produced in small batches and interprets the classic Irish whiskey profile in a modern way. The bottlings include the PX Cask, the Madeira Cask and the Marsala Cask.

Boann Single Pot Still Whiskeys are distilled, matured and bottled entirely in Drogheda by our own team, from the field to the bottle, everything is in one hand. Boann only uses Irish barley and water from its own spring. Particularly noteworthy: The distillery places great importance on traditional pot still recipes with a high proportion of unmalted barley and small proportions of other grains, which ensure the typically creamy and spicy body.

The Boann Distillery was founded in 2016 and is owned by the Cooney family. It is one of the few independent distilleries in Ireland that has complete control over distillation, maturation and bottling. In addition to the production of single malt, single grain and single pot still whiskey, Boann is also known for its own botanicals in the gin sector as well as a multi-award-winning cider and cider line.
